About Alesia

The Alesia Stavroula Karidogiannis Tribute Fund was created in October 2010 by Alesia's family after her sudden death on May 1, 2010. She was 2 years old. Alesia died of a rare, undetectable heart condition called Endocardial Fibroelastosis. The mission of this fund is to raise awareness of early childhood heart disease and provide financial assistance to the Cardiology Floor of the Montreal Children's Hospital.

The magnolia tree blooms only for a short while each spring, primarily in early May. Its beautiful flowers, like Alesia, have a lasting impression even after they are gone. Alesia's big smile, even bigger personality and enormous capacity to love made a huge impression on anyone she would meet. She was our life, as are all our children.

With Alesia's Magnolias, we are able to continue to celebrate the life of our incredible little girl.

The Alesia's Magnolias children's fair is our main fundraising event, but we also produce two additional activities to raise money for the Alesia Fund: our Toonie Drive and Alesia Day. Both of these activities take place on Alesia's Birthday, March 18. For more information, click on the links below:
